Trustee

Antoinette is currently training for Christian ministry in a Baptist College. As part of her training, she is on placement at Barking Baptist church where she works part time. Her work here in ministry includes preaching, following up visitors, visitation, leading services and youth ministry.
She serves as a trustee of the church taking part in monthly trustee meetings that forms part of the management structure of the church. Antoinette has a special passion for mission so she links well with the community. She engages with the Source and Barking Churches Unite to provide community relations for all the churches that are members

Antoinette has been a trustee of Barking Churches Unite (BCU) since February 2023 and has been Co-Chair for the past 2 years. BCU is a registered Christian charity for the Churches and Christians in Barking, to pray and work together for the furtherance of the Gospel and to support the relief of poverty and mental wellbeing of those living in Barking. As Co-Chair, she shares the responsibility of the Charity in its leadership, operation, representation and future decisions. The Source is the umbrella name for the charity’s community projects. As a Lead Trustee she manages the projects, contractors and volunteers at the Barking Learning Centre. These include: Pit Stop (a free sit-down buffet style meal for up to 150 people who are homeless or in need); Community Food Club (providing free food to up to 60 families); Shower Box Barking (Showers for the homeless or those who are unable to have a shower); Baby Bank (supporting up to 50 mothers with babies a week).

Antoinette has a deep passion for those in poverty and in need. She has an unwavering love for God and to the people of Barking and her Church. She is wise and discerning and is a woman of prayer and seeking God for His leading. She is patient, caring, kind, considerate and always thinking of others before her own needs. She works tirelessly to serve others and cooks for the homeless many times a week. She is loving and supportive mother to her children.

In addition to all of her ministerial role, Antoinette has been working for the London Ambulance NHS Trust for over 19 years in an administrative role. She is often describe as providing pastoral care in her department. She also serves as a member of the Community Chest Fund, an organization offering small, local grants from £500 to £5000 to support community groups, charities, and resident projects that improve local well-being, reduce social isolation and encourage community participation.

Antoinette is a hard-working, passionate and faithful servant of God. She has an unwavering love for God and to the people of Barking and Barking Baptist Church. She is wise and discerning and is a woman of prayer and seeking God for His leading. She is patient, caring, kind, considerate and always thinking of others before her own self needs. She works tirelessly to serve others and cooks for the homeless many times a week. Antoinette is well organized, honest, and punctual. She is a team player and is able to manage a team effectively. She has good interpersonal skills and is an excellent communicator.
