Called to Barking Baptist Church as Minister-in-Training in November 2021, Mark has been a Christian since 1981 while at the University of Professional Studies in Ghana. He was baptised at the Calvary Baptist Church in Accra, Ghana in 1986. He was involved with the Bible Study Ministry, Cell Group Ministry, Evangelism, Project Accounts, and Church Planting with Calvary Baptist.

In Ghana Mark trained with KPMG Accra Ghana, as an accountant and later worked with Shell Ghana in various finance roles until he relocated to the UK in 2001.

He started attending Trinity Baptist Church, London in 2002. He was involved with Bible Study Ministry, Church Planting, Pastoring, Men’s Ministry, Baptism, Christian Counselling, and Marriage Counselling, while there. He was head of the Bible Study Ministry and Men’s Ministry for several years.

In UK, Mark undertook post-graduate studies in business administration with Leicester University from 2002-2005. He subsequently worked with a few solicitor firms as accountant/legal cashier from 2005 until his calling in 2017 when he resigned from his last job.

Responding to his personal call to ministry, Mark enrolled at Roehampton University in 2017 for Theological Studies. He completed his Studies on September 2019 with a Post-Graduate Diploma in Ministerial Theology and a Master of Arts in Theology and Religions. This was followed by a Commendation to Ministry by the London Baptist Association in November 2019. Mark is currently going through the Ministerial Formation programme of the Baptist Union that is run by Spurgeon’s College on their behalf.

Mark has been married to Helena since 1989 and they have three adult children and two grandchildren. Outside ministry engagements Mark has interest in detective films, sports, and caring for his grandchildren.
