Maureen emigrated to England from the Caribbean in her early teens and was baptised at the West Ham Central Mission where she was later elected as a deacon. After re-locating to Barking she started attending Barking Baptist Church where she is actively involved as a deacon and committed to supporting the church in various areas of need.
Maureen works as an administrator at a Special Needs School run by the local authority. She loves listening to music, reading and baking, when time allows. She is the mother of two grown up children and one grandson.
Maureen is passionate about the members and congregation of the Barking Baptist Church and enjoys serving others and helping them realise God’s plan for their lives. Her prayer is that she may continue to be a part of the church’s future and able to participate in its growth and development. Her prayer for the church is for strong spiritual leadership and membership growth through prayer and work with both the young people and adults. She believes that God has great things in store if we will follow His lead.
