Ebun Hammond

Deacon

Ebun Hammond was raised in a Christian family where she was taught to pray and study the word and gave her life to Christ in 1996.  Ebun was baptised by full water immersion in October 2008.  Besides being involved in various church planting and other ministry initiatives, she has sung in many choirs, including at one of Ron Kenoly’s concerts.  She is married to Stephen Hammond.

Ebun started attending Barking Baptist Church since 2020, and after being accepted into membership progressed to becoming a deacon in 2022.  She is actively involved in the intercessory team and provides a welcoming smile to people as they as they enter the sanctuary on Sunday. Ebun believesin the power of fervent prayer, praise and worship.  She also enjoys encouraging others in the way of the Lord to help them grow in Christ. Outside of the church, Ebun is a Street Pastor in the Barking and Dagenham borough.

Ebun is a secondary school maths teacher.  Prior to this, Ebun worked in project management in the e-payment sector. Ebun’s other hobbies include taking long walks and visiting new places.
